The project
An educational mixed reality exhibit for the Intel Museum demystifying the chip fabrication process. Visitors slide custom-engineered displays along a fixed rail to progress through eight animated 3D vignettes, each explaining a different stage of a fab facility’s operations, designed to be accessible to general audiences and compelling enough for executive briefings.
The HoloLens 2 layer supports up to eight simultaneous users in a shared spatial experience, overlaying real-time 3D content onto a physical scale model of the fab. The project also included a companion web platform extending the experience for worldwide access.
